Tuesday, 9 November, Amanjena, Marrakech

Marrakech is a byword in exotism. A pink-tinted city encircled by ancient city walls, full of intrigue,  markets,  bargaining, hussle, hassle, hectic traffic where bikes and donkey carts make everything more unpredictable.  Where women in traditional robes and veils crowd the souks and narrow lanes, mysterious and sometimes enchanting.

Or has it changed?  Marrakech is now fashionable and has non-stop flights from all sorts of places including London, Oslo and Stockholm…to name a few. Is there anything left except a big market aimed at tourists and lots of hotels?
