The silver circle on sunny Sunday

Today Sunday, the skating continued on Drevviken, on a silver ring of scraped ice. Last week’s snow covered the lake.

This is the third glorious weekend for skaters on Drevviken. There is now probably a kilometre of shining silver track on this beautiful Stockholm lake – on previous weekends the skaters had the whole wide lake skatable.

Meanwhile kids are out with toboggans and snowracers. Last week’s snow was warm and sticky enough for snowballs and snowmen  – “kramsnö”. And turned this little dog in the gallery above into a walking furry American cockersnowgirl.

Please let me know if you’re looking for a writer for your blog.
You have some really great posts and I think
I would be a good asset. If you ever want to take some of the load off, I’d absolutely love to write some material
for your blog in exchange for a link back to mine.
Please send me an email if interested. Kudos!

    Hi Gillian

Sorry for the late reply but I’m under a great deal of stress right now. Don’t know the distance but it sure felt too long that day. If the ice is sound there’s no problem to skate that distance or longer.

Give my best to Peo and tell him I’ve got a set of dental tools for scribing/sculpting, he can have if he’s interested.

Amazing you could skate all the way from Tyresö to Drevviken. Wow! How many km was that? Do you think one can still do that?

When I grew up in the 60-70’s we played a lot of pond hockey on “Drevan” as we called it. Too bad the kids of today can’t do it since pond hockey beats regular hockey IMHO. One of the strongest memories is when we got lost in the fog. We had skated från Tyresö to Farsta which is quite a distance, and took the wrong turn home. Peo told me about the new family member. Is she/he still a puppy?
